Abstract:
The invention relates to a circuit breaker (SG) for protecting an electric low-voltage circuit for an alternating voltage, wherein the level of an instantaneous differential current of conductors of the low-voltage circuit is ascertained, and if an instantaneous differential current threshold (DSGm) has been exceeded, a process for preventing the flow of current in the low-voltage circuit is initiated by means of a high-ohmic state of switching elements of an electronic interruption unit in the closed state of break contacts.
