Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a charging roller which has an excellent image quality and can suppress the detachment of particles in a surface layer. In order to solve said problem, a charging roller 1 of the present invention is characterized by comprising a shaft 2, and at least a base layer 3 and a surface layer 4 which are on the outer peripheral side of the shaft 2, wherein: the surface layer 4 contains a binder resin 41 and particles 42; the particles 42 contain at least 50% by mass of the same component A as at least one selected from among the components constituting the binder resin 41; and the content of the particles in the surface layer is 30-120 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the binder resin.
