Abstract:
Provided is a charging roll for electrophotographic apparatuses, which is suppressed in adhesion of a toner, while having excellent electrifying properties.
A charging roll 10 for electrophotographic apparatuses according to the present invention is provided with a shaft body 12, an elastic layer 14 that is formed on the outer circumference of the shaft body 12, and a surface layer 16 that is formed on the outer circumference of the elastic layer 14. The surface layer 16 contains cellulose nanofibers, while having pores, which are formed by overlapping cellulose nanofibers, in the surface; and the pores have diameters within the range of 0.05-30 μm. It is preferable that the surface layer 16 does not contain a binder resin or contains a binder resin so that the content thereof is 5% by mass or less relative to the total mass of the surface layer 16.
