Abstract:
Provided is a chain power transmitting device wherein the adjustment force of a chain tensioner (21) is applied to a chain (5) mounted between a crank sprocket (2) provided to a crankshaft (1) and a cam sprocket (4) provided to a camshaft (3), and is also applied to the rocking-side end of a chain guide (6) provided to the outside of the slack-side chain (5a) of the chain (5) so as to be capable of rocking about one end of the chain guide (6), thereby pressing the chain guide (6) toward the chain (5) to cause each of a plurality of rotatable rollers (12) provided to the chain guide (6) to guide the chain (5) while rolling. The bending angles of the chain (5) relative to the plurality of rollers (12) are equalized to reduce noise.
