Abstract:
Provided are: a chain guide formed such that a plurality of roller shafts (21) for supporting rollers (22) so that the rollers (22) can pivot are mounted to a guide base (20) and are arranged in the direction of movement of a chain (5), the guide base (20) having a facing pair of side plates (23) extending in the direction of movement of the chain (5); and a chain power transmission device using the chain guide. A plurality of groove-like shaft engagement sections (25) for supporting the roller shafts (21) are formed in the inner surfaces of the facing pair of side plates (23). The shaft engagement sections (25) have ridges (28) provided on the surfaces thereof which face the end surfaces of the roller shafts (21) and extending in the width direction of the side plates (23). The end surfaces of the roller shafts (21) have formed therein engagement grooves (21a) in which the ridges (28) fit.
