Abstract:
A ceramic friction material, an automobile brake pad, and a method for preparing an automobile brake pad. The ceramic friction material comprises the following components in percentage by weight: 10-15 wt% of organic fiber, 2-5 wt% of filler, 7-12 wt% of binder, 19-28 wt% of friction modifier, and 3-5 wt% of friction-increasing agent. The ceramic friction material does not comprise an iron-containing substance. The method comprises mixing the components in the described percentage by weight with alkaline water, making a tap density of 0.6-0.8 g/ml, subsequently performing hot press molding on the mixture and a steel back, and then performing thermal curing. The ceramic friction material is capable of reducing friction damage and noise, has stable friction performance, and significantly increases the index of a static friction coefficient.
