Abstract:
Provided is a centrifugal clutch capable of rapid engagement while suppressing abrupt starting up on the driven side. A centrifugal clutch (200) includes a first drive plate (210) that is directly rotationally driven by the driving force of an engine, and a second drive plate (230) that is in frictional contact with the first drive plate. The first drive plate includes a cam body (215) upon a support part (214) that projects toward the second drive plate side. The second drive plate includes a clutch weight (240), and rotationally drives together with the first drive plate while allowing rotational displacement with respect to the first drive plate via a plate spring (221). The cam body has a first inclined surface (215c) that inclines and extends rearward and outward in the rotational driving direction of the first drive plate. A driven part (242) is formed on the clutch weight, and has a second inclined surface (242a) that is in surface contact with the first inclined surface.
