Abstract:
Provided is a cell state estimation system that can accurately determine the state of a cell to be cultured. The cell state estimation system is provided with: an appearance information acquisition unit which acquires appearance information about a second cell that is different from a first cell to be cultured, in which at least a portion of a culture medium that provides a growth environment to the first cell provides a growth environment to the second cell; a physical property measurement unit which measures at least one physical property of at least one of the second cell and the culture medium that provides the growth environment to the second cell; and an estimation criterion information unit in which estimation criterion information that is referred for the estimation of the state of at least one of the first cell and the culture medium is stored, in which the estimation of the aforementioned at least one is performed on the basis of at least one of the result acquired in the appearance information acquisition unit and the result measured in the physical property measurement unit.
