Abstract:
Provided is a catheter equipped with a lumen, the lumen being for inserting a guidewire and formed separately from a main lumen, that ensures fluid flow in the main lumen and good replaceability of the guidewire. The catheter 1 has a long first tube 10 and a second tube 20 extending parallel to the first tube 10, wherein: the second tube 20 is shorter than the first tube 10 and extends to the tip of the first tube 10; and the tip surface 14 of the first tube 10 is located inside the second tube 20. The first tube 10 has a tapered part 12 the outer diameter of which decreases from the base side of the second tube 20 toward the tip side.
