Abstract:
The present invention provides a carbon fiber nonwoven fabric sheet 15 which is long and contains discontinuous carbon fibers, wherein two or more rectangular fiber webs 10, in each of which carbon fibers are oriented substantially in one direction, are stacked in the same direction with the respective ends being shifted from each other, thereby forming a parallel web 14. According to a production method of the present invention, discontinuous carbon fibers are opened and oriented substantially in one direction by means of a carding machine, thereby forming a fiber web; the fiber web is cut in the width direction or in the oblique direction, thereby obtaining rectangular fiber webs 10; the rectangular fiber webs 10 are stacked, with the respective ends being shifted from each other, thereby obtaining a long parallel web 14; and both ends of the long parallel web 14 are cut off, thereby obtaining a carbon fiber nonwoven fabric sheet 15. A carbon fiber reinforced resin molded body according to the present invention comprises this carbon fiber nonwoven fabric sheet and a matrix resin. Consequently, the present invention provides: a carbon fiber nonwoven fabric sheet which is able to be used similarly to a uniaxial sheet that is composed of a continuous carbon fiber sheet; a method for producing this carbon fiber nonwoven fabric sheet; and a carbon fiber reinforced resin molded body.
