Abstract:

A carbon dioxide trapping module comprising: a first electrode; a second electrode; a solution in which the first electrode and the second electrode are immersed; a gas supplying unit which supplies carbon dioxide to the solution; and a voltage applying mechanism which applies voltage across the first electrode and the second electrode, wherein the first electrode includes a carbon dioxide trapping material containing a first metal that has iron as a main constituent, and the second electrode contains carbon or a second metal that has a lower ionization tendency than the first metal.
