Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a carbon dioxide absorbent comprising: an ionic liquid comprising an imidazole-based anion; and an aliphatic alcohol, wherein an alcohol solvent included in the carbon dioxide absorbent according to one embodiment has low toxicity and a very high boiling point and thereby has no problems of emission into the atmosphere and resulting environmental pollution, and is chemically stable and can thereby significantly reduce the possibility of emission of decomposition products into the atmosphere. In addition, carbon dioxide can be absorbed with an equivalent weight higher than the input equivalent weight of the absorbent, and due to low renewable energy, carbon dioxide desorption is easy and accordingly effective.
