A camera protection frame and a modular camera, the camera protection frame comprising: a main frame (10) that is provided with an accommodating space and that may be hand held and a pair of connecting assemblies (20) that are disposed on the main frame (10) and that may be fixed with a lens module (210); and the main frame (10) is provided with at least one interface. The camera protection frame also comprises at least one waterproof housing (40) that is disposed on the main frame (10) and that is used for opening or closing the interface; the camera protection frame may be used in the modular camera; a battery module (230) and a host module (220) of the modular camera are fixed by means of the main frame (10), and the lens module (210) fixedly connected by means of the connecting assemblies (20), so that the effects of connecting the lens module (210) and protecting the battery module (230) and the host module (220) are achieved. The waterproof housing (40) is correspondingly provided at the interface, allowing the camera protection frame to have a waterproof effect and to be suitable for handheld operations and use under various working conditions.
