Abstract:
The present application provides a call processing method and apparatus, which are applied to an electronic device. After an electronic device that has been called or has initiated calling is redirected from a 5G network to an LTE network, the electronic device camps on a first cell of the LTE network, wherein the first cell belongs to a tracking area. The method comprises: after a tracking area update fails, in response to having identified an abnormal signaling flow, searching for an available cell that does not belong to a tracking area; and initiating a tracking area update in the available cell, so as to attempt to establish a call. The identification of an abnormal signaling flow indicates that a tracking area update may fail due to signaling not being sent. Therefore, attempting to establish a call in an available cell that does not belong to a tracking area can improve the possibility of successfully establishing a call after an electronic device is redirected from a 5G network to an LTE network.
