The present invention relates to a brush direct current electric motor, comprising: a shell, wherein one end or two ends of the shell are open, and an accommodating space is formed in the shell; a stator, which is arranged in the accommodating space; a rotor, which is provided with a rotor hub and rotor teeth extending outwards in a radial direction from the rotor hub, wherein tooth spaces are formed between the adjacent rotor teeth, and the rotor hub can be connected to an output component, so as to output power; and windings, which are located in the tooth spaces, wherein the ratio of the number of the rotor teeth to magnetic poles of the brush direct current electric motor is a non-integer, and the number of windings located in different tooth spaces is not completely the same. According to the present invention, the electric motor is designed according to a matching scheme where the ratio of the number of the rotor teeth to the magnetic poles is a non-integer, and the winding number of each groove of the electric motor is designed to be regular and not completely the same, so that the operation current waveform of the electric motor is more obvious, thereby facilitating an electronic controller identifying the position of a rotor.
