Abstract:
Provided is a brake pad capable of applying an even braking force to a member to be braked with a simple structure. This brake pad comprises: a friction material that faces a member to be braked; a pressing member that generates a force from the back side of the friction material in the direction of the member to be braked; and a back metal that is disposed between the friction material and the pressing member and fixed to the friction material in such a manner that a recess formed in the center faces toward the friction material, and that receives force from the front end of the pressing member and presses the friction material against the member to be braked.
