Abstract:
A brake lining is equipped with a lining main body to be pushed against an object to be braked. The lining main body comprises an adhesion layer which contains an adhesion-layer fibrous material, an interlayer disposed on the adhesion layer, and a surface layer which has been disposed on the interlayer and contains a surface-layer fibrous material and which is to be brought into contact with and separated from the object to be braked, wherein the surface-layer fibrous material comprises fibers that differ in kind from the adhesion-layer fibrous material.
