Abstract:
This brake device has a function of adjusting the speed of a winding machine that is a component of an elevator system, or stopping the winding machine, and includes: a rotated braking body (1) that has a rotary shaft and operates in connection with rotation of the winding machine; a plurality of pads (2A, 2B) that are arranged on a surface of the rotated braking body (1) so as to be freely attachable to or detachable from the surface, and have a function of imparting braking force to the rotated braking body (1); and a plurality of calipers (3A, 3B) that hold the pads (2A, 2B). The plurality of calipers (3A, 3B) have an identical structure. The pads (2A, 2B) each have a pressed part that is to come in contact with the surface of the rotated braking body (1) and recessed parts that do not come in contact with the surface of the rotated braking body (1). A position in the rotated braking body (1) that comes in contact with the pressed part of the pad (2A) provided in one of the plurality of calipers (3A, 3B) is different from a position in the rotated braking body (1) that comes in contact with the pressed part of the pad (2B) provided in the other caliper (3B). Thereby, reduction or dispersion of the frictional heat caused by the pads of the brake device is enhanced, the structures of the calipers that hold the respective pads are made identical, and a simple structure and easy assembly and adjustment, etc. can be achieved.
