Title:
BOOT BAND
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2003/104686
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A boot band that prevents the breakdown of the boot and itself without overtightening the boot, and ensures that a close-contact force acts uniformly on the boot without the possibility of the close-contact force on the boot lowering. It comprises a metallic band body (2) which, in a ring state in which its opposite ends are superposed inside and outside and it is wound around the outer periphery of the boot, is subjected to tightening force in a direction to shorten the circumferential length, whereby a tightening means (7) retains the tightened state of the boot (20). Part of the band body (2) is formed with a cross-sectional area-decreased region (5a) to have a property such that the cross-sectional area-decreased region (5a) and the general region (8) with no decrease in cross-sectional area are elongated by plastic deformation by a tightening force.
