Abstract:
This bolt fastening structure for an in-wheel motor drive device is provided with: a casing (39) for the in-wheel motor drive device; an adaptor (41) attached to an outer wall surface of the casing (39); a head (43b) and a shaft (43c) of a bolt that passes, from the inner wall surface of the casing, through a through-hole (39h) penetrating the casing (39), that is screwed in a female screw hole (41m) provided to the adaptor (41), and that fastens the adaptor (41) to the casing (39); a bolt cap (45) that is provided to the inner wall surface of the casing (39) so as to cover the head (43b) of the bolt and that blocks the peripheral space (S) of the head (43b) from the inner space (R) of the casing (39); and a groove (43g), the through-hole (39h), and the female screw hole (41m) that serve as an air path for connecting the peripheral surface (S) and the outer space (U) of the casing (39).
