Abstract:
A blood characteristic evaluation device (1) according to an embodiment comprises a control unit (12a), a measurement unit (12b), and a calculation unit (12c). The control unit (12a) causes a foaming phenomenon to occur in a blood sample. The measurement unit (12b) measures the state of foaming in the blood sample. The calculation unit (12c) calculates an index that indicates the tendency of the blood sample to coagulate, on the basis of the result of measuring the state of foaming in the blood sample.
