Abstract:

A belt type nonstage transmission system, wherein, when a hydraulic cylinder (110) is operated, the hydraulic cylinder (110) and a resilient member (134) of a tensioner (104) draws in a belt (102) against the force of a resilient member contained in a diameter-variable pulley (107) to decenter a power transmission ring contained in the diameter-variable pulley (107) with respect to the axis of the same pulley, whereby the power transmission ring is displaced to a position in which the force by which the hydraulic cylinder (110) and resilient member (134) of the tensioner (104) decenter the power transmission ring and that by which the resilient member contained in the diameter-variable pulley (107) urges the power transmission ring to a position coaxial with the axis of the diameter-variable pulley (107) are balanced with each other, a speed change being thus attained.
