Abstract:
This belt-type continuously variable transmission is provided with a primary pulley (2), a secondary pulley (3), and a belt wound around the two pulleys (2, 3), and pulley-pushing force is determined by primary pressure supplied to the primary pulley (2) and secondary pressure supplied to the secondary pulley (3). The belt-type continuously variable transmission is also provided with a gearshift control means that, when performing Low return gearshifting in which the transmission ratio of the belt-type continuously variable transmission is changed towards the lowest gear during vehicle deceleration, calculates a first primary pressure actual measured lower limit value at which the belt begins to actually slip on the basis of the vehicle deceleration rate and the transmission ratio, and sets a lower limit value of a primary pressure target value in the Low return gearshifting to the primary pressure actual measured lower limit value. Upon detecting a tendency for the vehicle wheels to lock, the gearshift control means sets the primary pressure actual measured lower limit value to be higher than when a tendency to lock has not been detected.
