Abstract:
A bearing device (1) is provided with: two bearings (5a, 5b) that support a main shaft (4); an inner ring spacer (6i); an outer ring spacer (6g); a load sensor (143) that detects an axial load applied to the outer ring spacer (6g); a deformation amount sensor (144) that detects an axial deformation amount of the outer ring spacer (6g); an axial nut (8); pressing lids (10, 20); and a control device. The control device: obtains as an initial preload (F1) a load detected by the load sensor (143) in a state in which the axial nut (8) is fastened and the pressing lids (10, 20) are not fastened; calculates a reduction amount (F3) of the preload on the basis of the deformation amount detected by the deformation amount sensor (144) in a state in which the axial nut (8) is fastened and the pressing lids (10, 20) are fastened; and calculates as a post-assembly preload (F4) a load obtained by deducting the reduction amount (F3) of the preload from the initial preload (F1).
