Abstract:
Provided is a bearing device for a wheel, comprising an outer-side sealing member which is attached to an outer member and which has a labyrinth lip for improving an effect of preventing foreign matter from intruding into a space in which a rolling element is installed, wherein the outer-side sealing member can be easily press-fitted into the outer member. An outer-side sealing member 7 has: a metal core 71 fitted into an outer ring 2; and a sealing body 72 formed from an elastic body joined to the metal core 71. The sealing body 72 has: a labyrinth lip 72d which is positioned on a radially outer side of a fitted surface (outer periphery of a cylindrical portion 71a) of the metal core 71 fitted onto the outer ring 2 and which extends in the axial direction toward a wheel mounting flange 3b of a hub wheel 3; an annular pressing surface 72f which is positioned on the radially inner side and root side of the labyrinth lip 72d and which is formed from a flat surface parallel to an outer end surface 2f of the outer ring 2; and n annular recessed groove 72g interposed between the labyrinth lip 72d and the pressing surface 72f.
