Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention is a battery pack configured to improve safety by effectively suppressing heat transfer between battery modules. The battery pack according to an aspect of the present invention comprises: a plurality of battery modules, each configured with at least one battery cell to store and release energy and stacked in at least one direction; a pack case which is provided on at least one side of the plurality of battery modules, covers at least part of the outside of the plurality of battery modules, and has formed therein at least one opening; and a melting member which is provided in the opening of the pack case to close the opening and opens the opening by being melted by heat generated from at least one battery module among the plurality of battery modules.
