Abstract:
A battery cell according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a battery case; an electrode assembly received within the battery case; an electrode lead electrically connected to the electrode assembly and protruding out of the battery case; an electrode tab disposed within the battery case and protruding from the electrode assembly so as to allow the electrode assembly to be connected to the electrode lead; and a tab protection unit at least partially covering the outer surface of the battery case, corresponding to the portion where the electrode tab is disposed.
