Abstract:
Disclosed is a basin stopper, comprising: an upper pipe fitting, a water stop plug, a threaded rod, and a lower pipe fitting; the upper pipe fitting is inserted downwards into a stopper installation hole of a wash basin, the top end of the upper pipe fitting expands outward forming a water sealing edge larger than the stopper installation hole, and an overflow drain hole is formed penetrating a side wall of the upper pipe fitting; the water stop plug is used for plugging to seal or unplugging to open a pipe opening at the top end of the upper pipe fitting; the threaded rod is coaxial with the upper pipe fitting and the lower pipe fitting, one of the upper pipe fitting and the lower pipe fitting is fixed to the threaded rod, and the other is provided with a threaded hole for the threaded connection of the threaded rod, so as to connect and secure the lower pipe fitting to the bottom of the upper pipe fitting; the bottom of the lower pipe fitting is communicated with a drain pipe, the top end of the lower pipe fitting expands outward to form a water receiving bowl larger than the stopper installation hole, a pipe opening at the bottom end of the upper pipe fitting is inserted, leaving a gap, into the water receiving bowl, forming between said opening and the water receiving bowl an overflow gap allowing water flowing outside the upper pipe fitting to flow into the lower pipe fitting. The present invention ensures that a flow of water will not seep out of the wash basin from the stopper installation hole when the sealing effect of the basin stopper on the stopper installation hole is reduced.
