Abstract:
Provided is a ball screw capable of connecting a circulation trajectory of a three-dimensionally formed circulation groove to a spiral trajectory such that the tangential direction is substantially continuous. A ball screw (1) comprises a screw shaft (2) having a spiral groove (2a), a nut (3) having a spiral groove, and a plurality of balls (4) placed between the spiral groove (2a) of the screw shaft (2) and the spiral groove of the nut (3). The nut (3) is provided with a circulation groove that is connected to one end and the other end of the spiral groove of the nut (3), and that allows the balls (4) to circulate. A circulation trajectory (8) of the circulation groove is formed on the basis of a groove cross-section trajectory curve showing a trajectory in which the balls (4) are allowed to circulate in a groove cross-section of the screw shaft (2), and a longitudinal trajectory curve showing a trajectory in which the balls (4) are allowed to circulate in a virtual plane with the trajectory length ω of the groove cross-section trajectory curve as the H axis and the spiral trajectory length Fv(ω) as the V axis.
