Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a ball joint dust cover that can suppress the advancement of wear and that can ensure long-term sealing, even if foreign material infiltrates an upper-end surface of a stud-mounting part from a gap between an outer circumferential surface of a stud and a through hole of an annular plate. In order to solve said problem, the present invention provides a dust cover A that is mounted on a ball joint B wherein a knuckle 9 is attached to an end part of a stud 7, the dust cover A being provided with an annular plate 6 that is interposed between the knuckle 9 and a stud-mounting part 2 through which the stud passes 7. A reinforcing ring 4 is laid in the stud-mounting part 2. The reinforcing ring 4 is integrally provided with a protruding part that protrudes toward the annular plate 6 from the upper-end surface of the stud-mounting part 2 and thereby forms a space 5 between the annular plate 6 and an upper-end surface of the stud-mounting part 2.
