Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to improve the moldability of a reinforcing ring by providing a ball joint dust cover (1) in which decreases in the tracking properties of a shaft-side mounting section (12) with respect to the shaking of a ball stud are prevented. In order to achieve this purpose, a reinforcing ring (15) is embedded in the shaft-side mounting section (12) that is tightly fitted and fixed to the outer circumferential surface of a shaft section (203b) of a ball stud (203) of a ball joint (200), a first inner circumferential protrusion (151) and a second inner circumferential protrusion (152) that extend toward the inner diameter side and that comprise an inner diameter-side edge section having a slightly larger diameter than the inner circumferential surface of the shaft-side mounting section (12) are formed at predetermined intervals in the circumferential direction at axial positions in the reinforcing ring (15) that differ from one another, and the first inner circumferential protrusion (151) and the second inner circumferential protrusion (152) are arranged on phases that do not overlap with one another in the axial direction.
