Abstract:
A ball bearing having an outer ring, an inner ring, and multiple ball-shaped rolling elements which roll and come into contact with the outer ring and the inner ring at contact angles corresponding to the outer ring and the inner ring. The outer ring is provided with: an inner annular part having a rolling surface with which the rolling elements come into contact at a predetermined angle and on which the rolling elements roll; a thin part which integrally extends outward from the inner annular part in the radial direction; an outer annular part which is integrally disposed on the outer peripheral edge of the thin part so as to support the inner annular part via the thin part such that the inner annular part can move in the axial direction; and a supply hole for supplying pressurized fluid to an annular space formed by means of the inner annular part, the thin part, and the outer annular part. The rolling elements are brought into pressure contact with the outer ring and the inner ring by means of the movement of the inner annular part in the axial direction as a consequence of the thin part becoming elastically deformed in the axial direction due to the pressurized fluid supplied from the supply hole.
