Abstract:
Provided is a balancer with which it is possible to further inhibit vibrations from occurring when a rotary body is rotating. In a nut 1 serving as a balancer, a groove portion 12 in which balance pieces 30, 40 can be placed along the circumferential direction of an annular body 2 is formed in a two-tiered structure composed of a deep-groove part 12a and a shallow-groove part 12b, whereby the placement positions of the balance pieces 30, 40 can be freely changed depending on the status of the rotational balance of a whetstone to be mounted. As a result, the degree of freedom in the placement of the balance pieces 30, 40 increases, making it is possible to further inhibit vibrations from occurring when the whetstone is rotating.
