Abstract:
Provided is an auxiliary side wall bottom structure for a coal-burning boiler with which it is possible to quickly collect ash that has fallen to an auxiliary side wall bottom into a hopper and discharge the ash to the exterior. Openings 11 are formed in the auxiliary side wall bottom 8 of a coal-burning boiler 1 configured from an aggregate body comprising a plurality of heat conduction tubes 6, and hoppers 9a, 9b that communicate with the openings 11 are attached at the lower section of the auxiliary side wall bottom 8. The openings 11 are formed by partially bending the heat conduction tubes 6 that constitute the auxiliary side wall bottom 8. This makes it possible to prevent accumulation of ash at the auxiliary side wall bottom 8 without impairing the heat conversion efficiency of the coal-burning boiler 1.
