Abstract:
The present technology relates to an autonomous mobile body, information processing method, and program that enable an improvement in the expressiveness of speech produced by the autonomous mobile body. The autonomous mobile body comprises: a recognition unit that recognizes an external stimulus; and a speech control unit that controls the characteristics and output timing of speech to be outputted in response to the stimulus on the basis of at least one of an action by the autonomous mobile body, a state of the autonomous mobile body, the other party that has provided the stimulus, the surrounding situation, and the content of the stimulus. The present technology can be applied to a robotic pet, for example.
