Abstract:
The present invention relates to an automatic umbrella. An automatic umbrella according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises an umbrella shaft and multiple umbrella ribs extending radially from the umbrella cap at the top of the umbrella shaft. The automatic umbrella comprises: a runner installed to be able to slide upwards/downwards within a movement range configured outside the umbrella shaft along the longitudinal direction; a stopper fixed to the umbrella shaft so as to correspond to one side of the lower portion of the movement range; multiple lower auxiliary ribs having both ends connected to the umbrella ribs and to the runner, respectively; and a pulley provided at the lower end of the umbrella shaft, one end of a folding wire being fixed to the pulley such that the pully is rotated by manipulation of a manipulation portion, thereby winding and unwinding the folding wire. The other end of the folding wire extends from the pulley downwards via an upper via-point on one side of the upper end of the umbrella shaft, and then is fixed to one side of the runner via a lower via-point provided on the stopper. Accordingly, when the folding wire is wound around the pulley, the runner is moved toward the stopper such that the umbrella ribs are folded. Accordingly, the folding wire is not fixed to the umbrella ribs, but is fixed to the runner via the stopper and is forced against the umbrella shaft, thereby minimizing the possibility of the occurrence of interference with other components such as the lower auxiliary ribs. Therefore, even if folding and unfolding operations are repeated, erroneous operations or fractures may be minimized.
