Abstract:
In inserting an impeller hub is inserted into the oil seal, curling of a lip portion of an oil seal is reliably prevented even if the lip portion has fitting interference. A cut groove (38) is formed in an impeller hub (35) of an automatic transmission, and the impeller hub (35) is installed into the oil seal (40) with the lip section (52) side first. The impeller hub has a first chamfered section (53) that is a slope surface formed at an outer peripheral edge section (38a) of the bottom of the cut groove and radially reduced in size toward the end section of the impeller hub, along its axis. The axial dimension of the first chamfered section (53) measured from the outer peripheral edge section (38a) is set such that the closer to the circumferential center of the cut groove from circumferentially both sides of the cut groove, the greater the axial dimension from the outer peripheral edge section.
