Abstract:
The proposed regulator comprises a drive lever (4) which cooperates with the aid of a spring-loaded catch (5) with a ratchet (3) securely mounted on a shaft (1). The catch (5) is mounted in such a way that it can execute both rotary and reciprocal movement in the groove (6) running along the body (7) of the drive lever (4) and is provided with a support ledge (9) which comes into contact with the support recess (12) in the drive lever (4) when the brake is operated; this is to ensure that the drive lever (4) locks securely with the ratchet (3). A ratchet (16) is securely mounted on the shaft (1) and cooperates with the spring-loaded catch (15) of the control device (13). The catch (15) is mounted in such a way that it can execute both rotary and reciprocal motion in relation to the ratchet (16) and is provided with a support ledge (20) which comes into contact with the support recess (23) of the control device (13) in order to ensure that the control device (13) locks firmly with the ratchet (16) when the clearance is adjusted between the brake shoe pads and the drum.
