Abstract:
Provided is an automated operating assistance system for a vehicle, the system having redundancy without diversity problems. This automated operating assistance system comprises: a sensor (1) that obtains information about surroundings; downstream devices that comprise actuators that control the vehicle; and an operating assistance device (10) that calculates, on the basis of the information about surroundings, control amounts to the downstream devices; wherein the automated operating assistance system is characterized by having a diagnostic unit (23) that compares the control amounts for the downstream devices calculated by the operating assistance device (10) to the control amounts for the downstream devices calculated by the downstream devices, and makes a determination of normal when the control amounts are the same, and a determination of abnormal when the control amounts differ.
