Abstract:
Provided is an augmented reality device comprising: a variable focus lens; a gaze detection sensor which emits light to an eye of a user, receives reflected light reflected from the eye of the user, and detects a plurality of feature points on the basis of the reflected light reflected by the eye of the user; and at least one processor for obtaining information with respect to an eye-relief distance which is a distance between the eye of the user and the variable focus lens on the basis of position information of the plurality of feature points detected by the gaze detection sensor, obtaining information with respect to a gaze point on which gaze directions of both eyes of the user converge and an inter pupillary distance of user's eyes on the basis of the plurality of feature points, and determining a position of a focus area of the whole area of the variable focus lens on the basis of the information with respect to the eye-relief distance, the gaze point, and the inter pupillary distance.
