Abstract:
An arc extinguishing device is disclosed. An arc extinguishing device according to one aspect of the present invention comprises: a grid part positioned near an external fixed contact point and a movable contact point so as to extinguish an arc generated as the fixed contact point and movable contact point are spaced apart; and an arc guide which is coupled to the grid part and generates a gas by reacting with the generated arc, wherein the grid part comprises: a grid body which forms the body of the grid part and is spaced apart from the fixed contact point and the movable contact point; a grid arm which is continuous with the grid body and extends towards the fixed contact point and the movable contact point; and an arc extension space which is formed so as to be partially surrounded by the grid body and the grid arm and has the movable contact point movably accommodated therein, the arc guide being arranged to partially surround the arc extension space by being coupled to the grid arm so as to produce a gas by means of the heat of the generated arc.
