Abstract:
An apparatus for remediation of a contaminated soft clay, comprising an electrode chamber (3), an electrically conductive system, and a contaminant extraction system. The electrode chamber (3) is configured as a single cylinder or is formed by nesting a plurality of cylinders, one end of the outermost cylinder (21) in the electrode chamber (3) formed by nesting a plurality of cylinders is provided with a support cover (15), and the support cover (15) is provided with electrode holes (16). The electrically conductive system comprises a plurality of electrodes and a direct-current power supply (1), the electrodes are connected to two ends of the direct-current power supply (1) by means of wires (4), the electrodes are vertically arranged and extending through the electrode holes (16) in the support cover (15) into an electrolyte (6) in the electrode chamber (3), and none of the electrodes comes in direct contact with the soil body. The contaminant extraction system comprises a liquid storage bottle (12), a peristaltic pump (11) and a contaminant purifier (14). The invention further relates to a method for remediation of contaminated soft clay, and the apparatus used in the method is simple in structure and convenient to operate, and can automatically stop or start in a timed manner and adjust electrolyte volume in a timed manner and by a set amount, thus improving working efficiency and becoming more intelligent.
