Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus for processing a side surface of a display glass substrate, the apparatus enabling an optimal processing orientation of a glass substrate introduced to a work position to be maintained when a side surface of the glass substrate to be used for a display is processed into a round shape and, simultaneously, enabling a desired shape to be processed by means of one-time processing using a processing module in which a plurality of processing tools interwork, and thus the productivity of a product with excellent processability is improved, and fine chips generated thereby are removed from a work place with relatively excellent efficiency so that excellent processing quality of the glass substrate can be obtained. To this end, the present invention relates to an apparatus for processing a side surface of a display glass substrate into a round shape if the glass substrate to be processed is introduced onto a worktable, the apparatus comprising: a processing module, which is provided at one side of a place to which the glass substrate is introduced, is provided to be movable back and forth in the length direction of the side surface of the glass substrate to be processed, and has a plurality of processing tools arranged to be aligned in the length direction of the side surface of the glass substrate; a driving means provided at one side of the processing module so that each processing tool in the processing module can rotate; and a processing orientation setting unit provided at the front thereof with respect to the direction in which the processing module proceeds in order to process the glass substrate, so as to maintain the processing position and angle of the glass substrate in an optimal state before the processing tools of the processing module process the glass substrate.
