Abstract:
Disclosed are an apparatus and method for controlling the preferential function of a construction machine, capable of enabling an operator to set the priority or level of an optional device when work is performed using an excavator with the optional device that replaces another element. The apparatus for controlling the preferential function of a construction machine according to the present invention, comprises: a hydraulic pump and a pilot pump; an optional device and an attachment connected to the hydraulic pump; an attachment operation lever for outputting an operation signal when operated by a driver; an optional device spool for controlling the flow direction of the working fluid that is supplied to the optional device from the hydraulic pump; an attachment spool for controlling the flow rate and flow direction of the working fluid that is supplied to the attachment from the hydraulic pump; an electrical operation device for the optional device; an electronic proportional pressure reducing valve for outputting a secondary signal pressure corresponding to the operation signal of the electrical operation device for the optional device; a first pressure detection sensor for detecting, on a real time basis, the signal pressure based on the amount of operation of the attachment operation lever; and a controller for restricting the signal pressure that is applied to the optional device spool from the electronic proportional pressure reducing valve to a preset signal pressure when a preferential function is applied based on the amount of the operation of the attachment detected by the first pressure detection sensor.
