Abstract:
The present invention relates to a technique for evaporating and concentrating water, to be treated, containing hardness-causing substances, and, particularly, to an evaporation and concentration apparatus and an evaporation and concentration method, which allow water, to be treated, to successively pass through a first evaporator, a high-temperature water softening device, and a second evaporator such that the water to be treated is evaporated and concentrated, thereby effectively removing the hardness-causing substances caused by high-temperature water softening so as to prevent scale formation and, simultaneously, eliminating the need for a separate heat source, for satisfying the operating temperature of the high-temperature water softening device, such that operating costs are reduced.
