Abstract:
In this angular ball bearing (10), raceway rings (20, 30) comprise extending parts (23, 33) which axially extend from raceway surfaces (21, 31) toward a side opposite of a side where a line of action L of a contact angle θ passes through the raceway surfaces (21, 31) with respect to a center O of a ball (11) in the axial direction. The extending parts (23, 33) have folded portions (24, 34) folded in the radial direction, and the folded portions (24, 34) are provided to at least two locations on the entire circumference or the circumferential direction, and overlap with the ball (11) as seen from the axial direction to form attachment margins (δ1, δ2). The foregoing makes it possible to perform manufacturing at a low cost and to prevent separation between the raceway rings and the ball, thereby conferring favorable handling characteristics.
