This angular ball bearing comprises an inner ring (10), an outer ring (20), a plurality of rolling elements (30), and a cage (40). In the cage (40), a plurality of pockets (44) for holding the respective rolling elements (30) are formed at intervals in the circumferential direction. The cage (40) is asymmetrical in relation to a straight line extending in the radial direction. When α is the contact angle of a rolling element (30), 30°≤α≤45° is derived. When D is the outer diameter of the outer ring (20), d is the inner diameter of the inner ring (10), and Da is the diameter of the rolling element (30), the relationship of expression (1) is established. When A is the minimum value of the dimension of a clearance in the radial direction (RA) between the surface of a pocket (44) of the cage (40) opposing the rolling element (30) and the surface of the rolling element (30) in a state in which the center axis of the entire bearing in the axial direction (AX) coincides with the center axis of the cage (40) in the axial direction (AX), and PCD is the pitch diameter of the plurality of rolling elements (30), at least one of the following relationships are satisfied: (2) A/Da≤0.020; and (3) 2A/PCD≤0.010.
