Abstract:
Disclosed is an alkaline water electrolysis system for hydrogen production, comprising: an electrolytic cell; a first circulating pipeline composed of a hydrogen separator, a hydrogen-alkalin liquid circulating pump, a hydrogen-alkaline liquid filter and a hydrogen-alkaline liquid cooling device which are connected in sequence to the electrolytic cell; and a second circulating pipeline composed of an electrolytic cell and an oxygen separator, an oxygen-alkaline liquid circulating pump, an oxygen-alkaline liquid filter and an oxygen-alkaline liquid cooler device which are connected in sequence to the electrolytic cell. The electrolytic cell is the main device of the system, and is composed of a left end plate, a right end plate, a left end partition plate, a left partition plate unit, a middle partition plate, a right partition plate unit, and a right end partition plate. The partition plate units have a corrugated structure. Multiple overlapping partition plate units and diaphragm electrode assemblies form multiple hydrogen electrolysis chambers and oxygen electrolysis chambers. Hydrogen and oxygen are sent out of the system via a hydrogen condenser and an oxygen condenser, respectively. An auxiliary apparatus feeds an electrolyte into the system by means of a pipeline. Using the present system, the resistivity of the electrolyte is decreased, thereby mitigating the occurrence of serious uneven liquid flow across the entire electrode surface.
