Abstract:
This alkaline dry battery comprises a battery case, an electric-power-generating element, and a sealing unit. The sealing unit is provided with a terminal board, a current collector bonded to the terminal board, and a gasket. The current collector has a round-columnar body section. The gasket is provided with a central cylindrical part, an outer cylindrical part, and a linking part. The linking part has a bent section that is formed in a protuberant shape protruding toward the bottom section of the battery case, a first inclined section that extends from the central cylindrical part to the bent part, and a second inclined section that extends from the bent section toward the outer cylindrical part. The gasket is configured from a polypropylene resin, and a rubber component is dispersed in the interior of the gasket. The abundance ratio R (%) of the rubber component relative to the total of the polypropylene resin and the rubber component, and the internal angle θ1 (°) formed by the first inclined section and the second inclined section, satisfy the relationships 3 ≤ R ≤ 20 and 0.59 × R + 128 ≤ θ1 ≤ 0.59 × R + 163.
