Abstract:
The present invention discloses an adsorbent for separating ethylbenzene from C8 aromatic hydrocarbons and a preparation method therefor. The adsorbent mainly comprises X zeolite, which has a silica-alumina ratio (SiO2/Al2O3) of 2.0-2.3 and a grain size of 0.5-5 μm. The adsorbent is prepared by treating the X zeolite by means of a combined treatment process of alkali metal ion exchange and surface estersil modification. The adsorbent of the present invention can separate ethylbenzene from mixed C8 aromatic hydrocarbons, and the resulting ethylbenzene product has a relatively high purity and yield.
